Perk Perkins Bio

I began writing in the 90s and was published in many non-fiction magazines. I then started writing spec movie scripts, short story collections and eventually landed my own weekly newspaper column.

My popular column, The Smile Factor was 450 words of inspiration and humor written weekly. A collection of some of these columns are available as an Ebook.

Since then I have written many short stories, several novellas a new humorous monthly column and a new novel that I think shows significant merit. I am also working currently on a nonfiction book about a career cop and his exciting, true and often tragic cases over a twenty-five-year span.

My background as an entertainer, singer, speaker, comedian and smart aleck have influenced my writing and I think gives me a different voice that readers enjoy and deserve.
