Perk Perkins is an American author, screenwriter, and award-winning journalist who spent a decade distilling life into his celebrated weekly newspaper column, The Smile Factor. A versatile storyteller, Perk moves fluidly between high-concept novels and razor-sharp screenplays.
Beyond the page, he has cut his teeth on set as a script doctor and developed an original television pilot. Drawing on a background in music, stand-up comedy, and live performance, Perk brings a performer’s natural comedic timing to every line, holding an audience’s attention until the very last frame. Such a great book about a mobster called Lou Gianni who ends up on a most unusual journey. It is sometimes serious, very funny, sad, sentimental and with super characters .
